While making Cauliflower Leek Soup (I have to keep organizing those recipes) for dinner I decided to play around with the parts of the vegetables that I usually throw away. (the cauliflower stock and the tops of the leeks.)
Using the cauliflower stock for a base I cut pockets into it to stick the leek leaves into, I was able to make a nice background for some radish flowers I had made the day before.
I decided to make some quick carrot flowers to add some color and fullness.
By the time I had created the center piece for my table the soup was ready to blend and serve.
