Panic Attack!
Last week I decided to fulfill a craving I have had for a month and make quiche. But when I went to get my favorite recipe I couldn't find it.
I didn't panic at first but after searching all the usual places panic did start to set in. I kept saying to myself, "This is why I am organizing my recipes, this is why I am organizing my recipes." If only I had recorded this one sooner I wouldn't be in this fix.
I again went searching for an old tried and true recipe, this time for Challah Bread. And again I couldn't find it.
This really can't be tolerated any longer. I really need to get my favorite recipes recorded fast.
Fortune smiled on me and after searching more thoroughly I was able to find the Challah Bread recipe. What is nice about this bread is that it is easy and it looks great. People are always so impressed. You don't have to tell them how easy it is.

Lately, I have been making the Challah Bread in individual sized loaves. It takes a little extra time but the presentation is a lot of fun.
In the picture above I used all whole wheat flour and used a two strand weaving method.
In the picture below I used half whole wheat flour and half all purpose flour and used a four strand weaving method.
I like the taste and texture of the half and half version better.
