On the door of my cabinet I have shelves to hold my spices. Their only draw back has been that when I put the mini spice bottles into them I can't see what spice they are. That is why I have been stacking them against the side wall of the bottom shelf. I actually really like the way that they stack. With them stacked like that no one else in the family would be able to find them without me coming in to save the day. That has got to change. My goal is to have everything in my house find-able without me doing the finding.
I am determined not to let the Spice Cabinet get the better of me. After evaluating it's contents and trying to come up with some clever solution such as, should I buy a tiered rack so my spices look like they are sitting on the bleachers cheering me on as I cook or should I try a tension rod near the top to hold my mini spice bottles. The possibilities are endless. I finally realized that I already had a great organizational tool and I just needed to optimize it. The solution I came up with was so easy I don't know why I didn't think of it earlier. Label the spices I can't see the name of on the lid. Duh! Now my spices are in alphabetical order and they all fit on the shelves. They don't look as fancy as they would if I had them in identical bottles which may happen someday but for now they are easy to find. Now we get to take a look inside the cabinet. I love the two bottom shelves. I can easily see everything and it just feels clean and neat. The containers that hold my baking soda and bulk spices are from Ikea. They make me smile inside. Now the upper two shelves are better than they were but I am not satisfied with them. If I were to take down the container with my cake sprinkles and stuff the paper cupcake holders would fall. I really hate it when things fall on me. So yes they still need help but I am almost done. Just one more bite to go. If you have any great ideas I would love to hear them.

My question is "do you use your cake sprinkles and cupcake holders that often?" Maybe you need to find a place for those items that you use less frequently that is not is such a high traffic area. What do you think?

I love it!! I love that it makes you smile inside. Maybe a box with the lid would be useful for the cupcake holders. My question is do you do other homes. I know I could use your expertise, lots of stuff on small places. haha just an idea!
