I started this blog to help me in my endeavor to have an organized home where family and friends could feel peace. I wanted my home to feel like a safe haven from the storms of everyday life.
Along the journey I have been hit with a few road bumps. My oldest son was diagnosed with Celiac Disease. We then tested my second son and found that he had Celiac as well, just not as strongly developed. This news turned my world upside down. I had been making homemade (wheat) bread one to two times a week for almost 28 years. Cinnamon rolls, Butterhorn rolls, Pizza, Waffles etc were all a huge part of our world. I was determined to conquer gluten free baking but soon became overwhelmed and discouraged.
Gratefully gluten free products have really come far. After two years I now feel like gluten free is not a trial but a blessing. Though I have a lot to learn I am really enjoying the adventure.
If anything I do can encourage just one other person I will feel successful.
