Sausage and Beans
Ingredients:
3 cups dry red beans
1/2 large onion diced
1 pound ground sausage
4 cups water
2 Tbs Beef Better than Bouillon
2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
2 Tbs chili Powder
1 tsp cumin
1/2 cup cold water
2 Tbs corn starch
Directions:
Cook beans. I like to use a pressure cooker so I don't have to pre-soak my beans.
In large sauce pan saute onions until translucent
add sausage to pan and cook through
add water, beans, bouillon, Worcestershire sauce, chili powder and cumin and bring to a boil
combine corn starch and cold water and add to pot
reduce heat and let simmer until desired thickness.
serve over rice and top with cheese if desired.
