This week as we tried to eliminate foods that could possibly be causing or enhancing problems with our health I found I quickly began to become overwhelmed.
There are several "experts" that claim their way to eating healthfully is the best way. Some cut out all meats, and dairy, Others eliminate yeast, vinegars, fruits and fungi as well. There are also peanuts, soy, wheat, corn, carrots, and potatoes to add to the list. And don't forget preservatives.
After five days of eating quinua and salads my husband who loves salads was about to snap. On Thursday he went to the grocery store "Sprouts" to find something to eat. After spending and hour reading labels and trying to figure out what to eat. He spent $14 and came home with two small bags of "healthy" chips made from all sorts of different roots, a box of nut crackers and 2 Tbs of almond butter.
The whole point of this exercise is to find out what foods may be effecting his health no in serving the same thing over and over again until we didn't want to eat anything.
So we redefined the rules and if my husband begins to feel better living within those rules then we can slowly add other foods back into his diet to see how it effects his health.
To keep thing simple we have a few basic rules
My favorite find are the Ezekiel 4:9 sprout grain wraps we found.

To keep thing simple we have a few basic rules
- No sugar
- No yeast
- Eat grains that have been sprouted
- No dairy
- No meat
- Go light on fruit
- No peanuts

We also tried their sprouted cereal. It reminded me of grapenuts.
So how do we fee?
Neither of us feel hungry or deprived. My husband is less tired and I am a little more tired. The big difference for me is that I seem to be sleeping better at night. On Thursday the company I work for was celebrating going public so they served breakfast, lunch and served gilatos later in the afternoon. With the rules we where living with I knew that I wouldn't be able to eat much so my husband gave me the day off. Cinimen french toast with syrup and whipped cream, and sausage started my day off with a gormea chicken lunch and of course the gilatoes. I came home from work very energetic and was able to work happily until after 10:00 pm. But at night I was back to not being able to sleep well.
